FAQ related to iBot

What is an Omni channel bot?

Omni channel bot is the bot to rule all the bots!

To understand it better, we need to understand what is a bot, first. A bot is a series of flows created achieve multitude of personal or business functions like answer questions, booking appointments, delivering lead magnets and such.

You can have as many logical flows as you want inside an iChat Labs' bot. But you can only connect one channel to a bot.

For example you can have lead magnet delivery flow and appointment booking flow inside one bot and you can connect that bot to Facebook channel. Now this becomes a Facebook bot.

If you want to connect Instagram to this bot, you will have to duplicate the bot or create a new bot and connect it to Instagram. So for each channels you may need one bot each.

But in Omni Channel bot, you can create one bot and connect that one bot to Facebook, Instagram, Webchat and close to 10 other channels. So with just one bot, you can respond in many channels. So one omni channel bot is equal to more than 10 bots. (Based on the number of channels it can connect)

What is a Bot user?

A bot user is a user who interacted and hence subscribed to your bot. iChat Labs works on the total number of active bot users per workspace.

When you sign up you are going to start with one workspace. You can have multiple bots in a workspace.

Each bot will have its own userbase. If a user interacted via Facebook messenger, they becomes a Facebook messenger user. If the same user interacted via Instagram, they will be added as an Instagram bot user. This allows us to send them the responses back in the same platform they have interacted.

The total number of such users are considered to be the active bot users.

You can decide to keep or delete the bot users at any time.

What is a Channel?

Channel is a platform that you can connect with your bot. Currently iChat Labs support 17 channels.

What happens after the 14 day free trial?

After the 14 day free trial you have the option to upgrade to Ignite plan or Elevate plan depending on your expected user volume. You can alternatively decide to stay with your forever free plan as well.

During 14 day free trial you get access to all the pro features that are part of Ignite plan. After the trial if you are not upgrading, the flows with Pro features will stop working.

The Free Starter Kit that comes with free plan doesn't use any Pro features, hence it will continue to work.

If you want to stay with the free plan and have more than 200 active bot users, the bot will stop responding with an error log created at the backend. You can either delete the excess users or upgrade to keep using the account.

Which plan is best suited for me?

If you are starting out, have less than 200 active users and simply want to use the basic chat functionalities like replying to a set of pre-determined questions or to take the customer through a series of predefined chat messages on your website, Facebook and Instagram, you can stay with the free Starter Kit plan.

If you are a growing business and want to take advantage of Artificial Intelligence and other more complex integrations, Ignite plan is a great place to start. With ignite plan you can create Facebook messenger ads, Shopify integration, send emails straight from a chat flow and more.

If you have a few thousand active contacts, want all the channels and integrations and connect directly with our all in one integrated CRM, Elevate plan is the best option. It comes with all the bells and whistles of iChat Labs' chatbot builder.

If you have multiple Facebook pages and want connect a bot to those pages (Only one bot can be connected to a single Facebook page) you can either buy an extra bot at $10 or get in touch with us to upgrade to Thrive plan which offers 5 bots and 11000 users.
